New season of Mad Men starts this Sonntag

Dunno who all the fans are here, but I just realized this recently. One of the few shows on TV of which I actually try to catch every episode.

And if you haven't yet been introduced and would care for a couple incredibly shallow reasons to begin watching, then I give you…

I'm kind of dreading it, because I find the show to be frequently frustrating, but I know I'll end up watching it anyway.

But yes, Christina Hendricks and January Jones. Yeah. JJ is as my type as they come.

...I am totally ready...Ive been watching the "Best of Season..." the last few weeks on AMC, and I am prepared...


...Mark- the show is about an ad agency in the early-mid 1960's...there is a lot of drinking, and smoking, and uber attractive ladies...

...Im totally expecting a Beatles reference/storyline/subplot...

I kind of doubt it. The show is largely about the OTHER '60s and they way that all the '60s stuff that springs to mind now kind of (for lack of a better word) "ruined" things for the world the characters thought they were a part of. (This is a fairly shallow reading of the show and oftentimes the show skirts the "big theme" stuff and just does soap opera, but still I don't think Don Draper is gonna be dropping acid with John and George any time soon.)

...not at all, but The Beatles were a big cultural happening, and I could see them working it into the show, like they did with the Civil Rights Marches, and Bye Bye Birdie...maybe not a huge storyline about it...
