Oooh! A Dano Convertible. Most cool!! 
If (and it's looking like a bigger "if" as the days move on) we get a profit sharing bonus for last month's good performance here at work, one of my thoughts was to get a 4th, and possibly final guitar for now. Originally I was thinking about getting a Luna tele thinline model like PunkKitty NGDed a few days ago. But, lately the thought has crossed my mind, that it might be cool to get another Dano.

Yes they did. It's basically a formica top. Danos have used formica tops forever, and formica of course is used in countertops, so it's pretty easy to do the woodgrain thing.

well it just goes to show you how far budget guitars have come in 60 years. for $65 in 1959, you could buy this. that's $485 today. you can buy a lot of guitar for that kinda money. the current crop of Danos go for around $300.
