What is the last thing you cooked in a crock pot ?

We use ours infrequently. I have to admit must “slow cooker” recipes Isee don’t tempt me. Ut have a lamb stew on right now because of seeing this thread yesterday.

Really? There's tonnes of great stuff out there.

My wife made an incredible haggis lasagne a while back, would be no problem doing it with mince.

We do all sorts of currys, patatas bravas, chilli, pulled whatever, stews and barely scratch the surface of what it can do.

Personally, the last thing I made in the crockpot was barbacoa (got the idea from folks right here, and the family loved it!)

I retired mine many years ago. I use an old pressure cooker for beans, stews and pasta/pizza sauces.

I have a batch of that barbacoa working right now. :)

I’m leaving the cloves out this time. It tends to dominate the dish, and seems out of place to me.

Also, I think this would be even better if the chunks of meat were seared first, but I’ll do that next time. I’m in efficiency mode today.

It's my wife's work ball tonight so I've put that Barbacoa on a timer so it'll be ready for us getting home 2moro :)

Going to be honest here gang - that beef really did nothing for me (nor Mrs JBJ)

I even thickened up the sauce to make it more like a gravy but no dice.

Ended up smothering it in sriracha which made it OK but my intestines haven't been thanking me for that from about 5am

I just did a Mojo Pork over night Saturday and damn was it delicious! We had it as tacos on white corn with cilantro, white onion, lime, and Cholula.
