I was reading a few auto posts and blogs and scrolling through pictures of the new McLaren GT, the Aston Martin Vanquish, new C8 Corvette, Rimac C-2, Ferrari F8, and many other unaffordable supercars on the horizon....
... and I was saddened when I realized how similar so many of them look.
We are reaching apexes of aerodynamic efficiencies and structural limits holding together for impossibly powerful varieties of engines.... and it makes me longingly remember the crazy times when you had a hunch backed 911 squatted next to a sexy curved Jaguar, while a Countach and Testarossa compare sharp edges to see which one looks more like a swiss army knife with all of it's blades exposed.
We had a wider variety of cool looking go-fast shapes and engine styles to get there.
Now the kings of the hill are more like amalgamated race cars with different colors of paint and logos based on which manufacturer they represent. :(
