Achtung! Post unpopular music opinions that you have

any era has both great and horrible music but my dislike for the 90's overall was the homogenization of the popular music...there was some absolutely fantastic stuff but overall it was boring, predictable and the tones sucked. people mention a lot how they dislike the tonz from teh 80's but whatever :embarrassed: perhaps the 2000's on are the worst era for popular music but I approach it differently....because the 90's corporate hunt and industrialization of "starz" and the next big thing changed the face of the poular music. By contrast you take that period from 76 or so till mid eighties and there was just a huge explosion of creativity and originality.
I just don't think the vast majority of 90's stuff holds up, the underground stuff yeah, the less than popular...sure. Anything overly popular , no
also the period from about 68 to 75 was great but not really a fan of the early and mid 60's mainly because it's too corny :embarrassed: and of course the 50's is just dinasaur rock ....uggggh

"68 to 75 was great but not really a fan of the early and mid 60's" I still don't understand how anyone was excited about the early Beatles. But Motown more that makes up for it.

Abbey Road contains some of the least compelling Beatle material.

Jeff Tweedy’s songwriting ability has declined as Wilco’s acclaim has grown and as the band has become stacked with ace players.

Achtung Baby and Zooropa are the only two truly great U2 albums.

Bob Dylan is a great rock and roll singer.

I disagree with the the U2...The JT should be included in your list but you were still probably in diapers then *spits*

I do agree with the Tweedy thing.....The last great tweedy was "being there"

I also agree with your assesment of Dylans vocal abilities.

Young conventionally attractive female pop stars sing as well or better than BBWs, MILFs, and girl next door types. In addition to writing higher volume of original content.

Synthesizer hate is the worst superstition that ever befell musicians. There is nothing particular different than any other instrument. And today's synthesizers sound better than ever.

Scandinavia's best music is pop and not metal.

Stevie Ray Vaughan was not really more tasteful than Yngwie just because he played blues. Both butchered Hendrix and other covers with wanky overplaying.
