I was listening to Pornographetti by Extreme this morning and I remembered how much I loved Nuno’s tone on that album. It’s darn near perfect. It has the right amount of gain and “teeth”… love it!!!

Orianthi has a great lead tone as well…

My favorite guitar tone is Garcia on "Franklin's Tower." It makes my soul soar (not sore) and my feet move.

The ironic thing is that while I wouldn't call the guitar tones on his other records bad they never came close to the tones on "Girlfriend."

Personally I'd go with nearly anything by the Reverend Billy Gibbons as my pick. But ABB is not far behind.
