Achtung! You're going to be seeing a lot less of smurfco these days...

Meatus McPrepuce
45 lbs less as a matter of fact.

I started taking Zepbound in September and my weight has gone from 285 to 240... it's been pretty life changing. I feel better, I look better (well I still have the same face so...) and my lab numbers have gone way down. And no real side effects yet. Who knows what'll happen 10 - 20 years from now in terms of long-term effects but I'm just assuming we'll all be dead by then anyways.

This is the first time in a long long time I haven't felt like throwing up when I see photos or videos of myself... the medication is quite expensive (about $500 a month) but it is so worth it for me. It's really the only thing that's worked as I have horrible issues with motivation and willpower.

Anyways I'd still like to lose a little more, I think 225 - 230 is where i'd really like to wind up. I think that's doable!

I'm glad it's working for you @smurfco. I hope it continues to work.

I have a friend that's been taking one of the injectables and has lost a bunch of weight. It has improved his health.

My wife is taking one of those injectable solutions. She found a pharmacy to compound the drug cheaper than typical. It's working for her. She's lost a lot of weight.

My question is, what happens when the drug stops working?

In my wife's case, I got her to lose weight by following a diet. I prepared all her food. But, she has a habit of going back to eating whatever she wants, once she's lost weight.

I'm fortunate. I have been able to lose weight on any plan. The trick is sticking to it for me.

I wish I could find a natural appetite suppressant that works for me. High protein diets naturally suppress appetite, but I'm not convinced they are a healthy lifestyle long term. Coffee and cigarettes seem to work for some people, with the minor side effect of a shorter lifespan.

In my case, I've also built much healthier eating habits while on the drug. It's made it a lot easier to say no to fast food / ordering in when I've gotten into the habit of cooking for myself. And a lot of the stuff I used to eat on the regular (fast food mainly but really anything super bad for you) just seems gross to me now.

Our plan (me and doctor) is to stay on teh drug until I hit my ideal weight and then slowly lower the dose until I stop taking it completely, while maintaining the new habits...

I lost 30 pounds last year by weighing my food and tracking calories with the Macrofactor app. I took a long diet break and kept myself at maintenance for a few months but now I’m back on track and down another eight pounds. I’m at 154 right now and trying to get down to 140 by August. Then I’ll start a 20 pound clean bulk that should take around a year and a half, after that I’ll go back down to 145–150 and start bulking again.

I absolutely lack the discipline and motivation to do something like this from scratch. I'm kind of afraid that when I do get off the drug I'm just gonna baloon back up to my old fat self because all these "healthy habits" i've been able to adapt since I started taking it are really just the drug and not me.

I lost weight doing intermittent fasting. I eat between the hours of 10:30am and 6:30pm. And, I do a 24 hour fast once a month.

I try to make healthy choices along the way. If I do eat fast food, I order grilled chicken, or a single patty cheeseburger. No fries. No shakes, ice cream, nor sweets. No sugar water. Just plain water.

My metabolism is pretty slow at this point. Other than skiing this season, I've failed to get enough exercise.

Congrats! I can see how losing 45 lbs could be life changing. Have fun fighting off all those loose women that want to party with you after your show.

Congrats.

Though I will say that I'm glad my wife was able to lose a bunch of weight (how much she won't tell me) by changing her diet and increasing her exercise. I am glad she doesn't need to go on medication and she did all of this because she was diagnosed as diabetic which is now much better as well. But not everyone can and her discipline has been more than impressive. Of course the downside (there's always a downside) is that I absolutely don't need to lose weight and yet I have too because while I still eat similar portions the amount of high calorie food in the house is much less. And even at my age my burn rate appears to be very high
