They got a gig a week from Saturday and asked if I could play it. Which I can. But they have not even tried looking for a replacement yet. I really think they could probably do without replacing me since the keyboard covers a lot of the same ground and the new drummer can sing all the high harmonies at least as well as I can.
And they are trying to talk me into staying. I'm getting no real good hits on my Craigslist ad, but I really don't want to do the every other Saturday rehearsals and the massive lighting system thing any more, so I don't think I'm going to return. The danger is that most existing bands I might want to join generally want younger players than me so no band situation may pop up, and I'm not talented enough to pull off a solo gig that pays. I just need to get a good set list together of stuff I want to do and learn it and move on from there.
