You know that song "sometimes when we touch, the honesty's too much"? what's that mean, do you know?

Ok, I feel bad for making fun. I am glad you enjoyed him. I did not. But, I was in a very different place in life. Enjoy!

Don't feel bad.

You also share in fond memories related to his music. They just aren't about enjoying it, it's about hating on it. Being an edgy Jr High kid hating on stuff is part of living the dream.

The 70s were many things; the "sensitive singer/songwriter" genre was but one of them. Yeah, the song was sappy, but there were worse at the time.

Yea... and at the top of the most overplayed sap list was "Feelings" That song was banned from WBCN & WCOZ playlists in Boston. It was so bad, at one point you could hear it on 3 or 4 other station within an hour... on a 3 hr rotation. Thankfully, I have not heard it in many many years.

I’ll never hate a song as much as I hate Happy. Fuck That song.

Since my radio listening is mostly NPR, I didn't hear it often enough to have it wear on me.
I don’t really listen to much radio either. I remember it was everywhere. Tv commercials, news stories about cops and TSA people dancing at work. Every pregame show, it was terrible.

Well, I use my DVR and fast forward through commercials and haven't seen any sports on TV since I was 12. That song wasn't around then. (Insert smilie face here.)

Back to the OP, it's quite easy really. It is coming from the woman's point of view, so when she says, "sometimes when we touch, the honesty's too much", it's a subtle way of reminding herself that, "hey, he wasn't lying about that 12 inch penis".

That’s ANOTHER one my dad would play incessantly :ragingfiremad:
