If you weren’t a hipster. Since most of us aren’t hipsters except for maybe Peen since he has facial hair and wears skinny pants….anyway let’s say the Neighborhood association was looking to diversify and in doing so they chose you as a candidate to potentially live in the neighborhood at a subsidized rental rate, would you take then up on their offer even though you will be the only loose fit/normal pants / “just at the knee length” shorts wearing guy….and you also shave.

The hipster thing ended years ago, those people are all just normcore moms and dads now. Many of them couldn’t afford to stay after having kids and now they’re living in other states.

Anyway, I’d consider being a token gay with biracial kids family if the rent was right and it was a short walk to the L train. Williamsburg has lots of good restaurants and some cool concert venues.

Still obsessed with the whole ‘hipster’ thing that has been dead for 15 years or so I see

That’s like saying “street racer car” guys ended years ago because Hondas and Nissans don’t have spoilers, graphics and 5 inch diameter exhaust pes anymore…the racer guy still exists even though the exterior differs today. Even the the YouTuber called them hipsters so there’s proof they still exist

I couldn't afford it, and if I could, it doesn't offer the sorts of things I'm willing to pay a premium for. But it seems like a cool place to be/have been. I like kombucha and new music.

What? Hipsters? Bigfoot?

Hipsters aren't a really thing anymore, but in deebo's defense, the bro narrating that video brings up hipsters in like the first minute.

I didn't watch much more because honestly it just looks like another random urban neighborhood with boring bistros and breakfast places that'll change names and ownership every four months.

Even if hipsters are still a thing, they wouldn't be able to afford to live in williamsburg (or at least none of the hipsters that I knew back when there was more of a consensus on them being a thing would be able to)

But back then which I assume you mean like 2008 they did not have cushy remote social media jobs and stuff…they were still cashiers at analog camera stores and stuff

Every time I go to Chicago and I'm sitting in traffic, I think how lucky I am to not live there. So no, I don't want to live there either.

Hipster is over. They are now called yuccie or Young Urban Creative. This subculture combines the yuppie's emphasis on money with the hipster's sense of style + SJW.

Nah I'm good. I like my backyard and sq footage of my house too much. Can't imagine raising 4 kids in that neighborhood, def would feel like lots of downgrades.
