Wisconsin Hunter Kills 8-Point Doe

not to get into a hunting thing, myself used to hunt ...me my bro and my dad did for about ten years and I'm a meat eater BUT I just LUV (sarcasm) how hunters say they are more ethical (holier than thou) and they are superior and care more about the critter because they killed it an then grilled it rather than bought it from a store BUT YET they want to hang the fuckin' thing on their wall......out of respect for the critter

well at least his wife had sense....."Douville says he plans to have the entire deer mounted, though he doubts his wife will let him put it up on the living room wall."

Neat!

@Coralkong - most hunting regs say something along the lines about the antlers but never mention gentalia so there is probably nothing to cite him for.

You're right.
I'm obviously not a hunter.
I thought it was illegal to kill a doe, but apparently not.
In NH, there is a "any deer" and "antlered deer only" season.

Thanks for pointing that out. Learn something new every day.
You would think with all the deer and hunters where I live (my local General Store is actually a deer check-place, there are people in pick-ups with dead deer in the back of them all the time) I would know that.

Actually, on the first day of deer season (rifles), it sounds like the Revolutionary War out there.
LOL.

Back in Maine, every year we always waited to hear about some guy coming into a tagging station with a "Massachusetts deer." Every fucking year without fail some dipshit, usually from from Masachusetts, would shoot a cow and try to tag it.

A guy in my town once tried to tag a moose as a deer. You will never guess what state he was from.

Well, it's pretty unusual to see an 8 point doe. I have heard of antlered doe before, it's rare, but never heard of an 8 pointer.

The hunting over here has been pretty spotty this year. With the light winter last year it should be better.

Idiots with guns. No good.

Wondering what sort of cultural identity thinks it's sporting to take lives.

I grew up deer hunting- my family is from rural Maine, and a deer could stretch the family grocery budget by a good margin. Which, when I was young, was a good thing. I admit that I enjoyed the challenge of stalking deer in the backwoods in all kinds of shitty weather- if you think it's easy to just wander around the woods with a rifle and shoot deer all day, you're wrong. If you eat meat, there's blood on your hands in one way or another- hunting just cuts out the middleman.

Now, those dickless fucks who fly to Africa to shoot exotic animals just to say they killed something interesting can just get fucked right in the ass with a telephone pole as far as I'm concerned.

I don't hunt myself but I have no qualms regarding those who hunt game animals legally and consume them for food.
The licenses pay for for good things like biologists and managers to keep an eye on things like population, birth rates, habitat, and food supplies. It's good for the entire ecosystem if done responsibly. Around here If hunters didn't take some deer then we would need a large population of wolves and big cats to keep em in check or you wouldn't be able to drive over 35 mph without slamming into one every time you got behind the wheel.

I wonder if the male deer find the antlered deer attractive, and vice versa?
At least there is no question about which bathroom to use.
