Where do you live? Anybody from Colorado here?

I live in Monument, next to the north tip of Colorado Springs. Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Trinidad NM and Albuquerque NM are to the south.

Monument is south of Cheyenne WY, Denver and Castle Rock. It's about a 30 minute drive up north to Castle Rock from here and roughly a 60 minute drive up north to Denver.

Where in the world do you live?

@Denverdave is... or was last time I checked. :helper:

I live in "Michiana"... which is a regional name for St Joe/Elkhart/Southwest Lower Michigan counties that surround South Bend Indiana. Basically we are the half-way point between Chicago and Detroit, straddling the Indiana/Michigan state line. :baimun:

From my house to downtown Chicago is 2 hours, 2.5 to Indianapolis, and 3 to Detroit. I was trying to figure out what all the stars and hearts were..... most of them are gig locations that I've saved in my phone. :lmbo:

Baimun is from Lake Michigan’s taint.

I have the misfortune of living in Boulder. We’re stuck here until the kids graduate high school because Boulder is one of the few places in America with good public school services and programs for kids with autism and ADHD. But the day they walk across that stage the house goes on the market.

Where do you think you'll move?

Our house is in San Marcos, TX, which is roughly halfway between Austin and San Antonio.

I still have a job in Houston, and most weeks I am there Monday-Thursday. We sold our Houston house a while back so I have an apartment here. The plan is for me to be done with work and with Houston in just over a year.

North Alabama, near Interstate 65 about 70 mi north of Birmingham and 100 mi south of Nashville, 10 miles south of the Tennessee River and about halfway between Huntsville 30 mi to the east and Muscle Shoals 50 miles to the west.
The rural/suburban fringe of the fast growing Huntsville tech metro which is about the only thing the state has going for it economically.
Its a conservative, religious, overwhelmingly white, and increasingly bouigy (for AL) area. Plenty of them Large Motorboat, large American motorcycle, huge motorhome, large SUV plus Large Pickup people. In other words, prime Trump country.
Still, not a bad place if you like nature and the outdoors but still want your suburban conveniences close by. But the natives can be pretty unlikable, its barren of any kind of big city culture, boring AF, and not a good place for a musician.

I’m not sure. I love to return to the East Coast but the places I’d like to go aren’t good long term options. Most are out due to climate change either making summers unbearable or flooding due to rising sea levels. So we might just go to Denver. That will keep us far away from the worst of climate change and it would also get us away from the horrible phony hippy outdoorsy culture of Boulder.

I've heard the the tap water in Golden Colorado is from the Rockies, and it's delicious. How is it where you live?

In general, the southwest has a lot of arsenic in the water. As the population has increased in Colorado, the water has gotten worse in a lot of areas. I’m fortunate to be on well water that’s not too terrible. Also, I have a whole home system that improves the quality of my water as well as a reverse osmosis setup.

Isn't there also a Pearl River Delta in Mississippi? And yeah, I know you mean the other Pearl River Delta :)

Yeah, Marty Stuart mentioned the Mississippi/Louisiana one in a song and I was like 'yeah, I'm going to take it to mean me' :bigg:

Robeson county, NC. About an hour's drive inland, and spitting distance from the SC border. Home of collard sandwiches and grape ice cream.
