What's the first thing that comes to mind when you think of...

In the late 70's, to early 90's: solid, dependable, really bad sounding amps.

mid-90's to now: solid, dependable, great sounding amps and great bang for the buck.

I actually like their solid-state stuff.

I have a number of Peavey amps and I gig them a lot. I think dependable first, a great value second.

My main amp for the last six years has been a Delta Blues 15". It's never given me a moment's grief and it's gotten a lot of use.

I had a Peavey amp that was decorated with stickers from various concerts I attended in the late 70's, early 80's. I loaned it to a friend and never got it back.

Terrible sounding amp, but the stickers gave it sentimental mojo. Wish I still had it.

Brutalz :rawk:

It seemed like in the '80s just about every garage band around here had those Peavey 2x12 combo amps. I could never get a good sound out of them, but then when I'd play somebody else's, I'd be plugged straight into it. I noticed most guys that sounded decent with 'em had alot of pedals.
