I’ve never had bad food from a food truck. Because they’re cheap it’s a way for a good chef to experiment for a couple of years without renting a space, so you can find cool stuff. In NYC there used to be a dessert truck that was divine; they used the best chocolate to make cookies and hot cocoa, it was great. They eventually opened a storefront but they picked a shit location and failed :(
My favorite food trucks are the soft serve trucks in NYC. You can get chocolate “ice cream” dipped in chocolate shell and covered with chocolate sprinkles. I was on a cruise last month and they had soft serve with no add-ons, I was totally disappointed.
