If this video is true, it was also true for the 50's and 60's. Personally, I was still very skinny in the 80's even with the high fructose corn syrup. I did not start gaining weight until the 2000's, when my metabolism started slowing down.

I was 4 in 1970, that means I grew up in the 70’s. I had a blessed childhood but never was really sure why until recently. I’m sure you have all heard about the current Pope, Leo from the South Side of Chicago.

I grew up literally one block from that guy. I did not know him but I feel that my life has been guided by the aura of papal divinity.

80's for me, but it was much as you described the 70's. A lot of brown. Macrame. Mirrors. Owl decor. Gangs of kids on bikes roving the neighborhoods. Once a few of us got NESes, the roving calmed down a bit though
