What are your go to electric guitar strings?

D'Addario 10-46, for many many years. I did, however, just order their EXL11W set, which is exactly the same but with a wound third that's .18 instead of .17. Always wanted to try a wound 3rd on electric. They'll be here next week.

I use DR Tite Fit 9's on my Strat, and Martin Retro 11/52's on my Takamine. The Takamine had .013/14 strings originally, but after the headstock got busted my luthier put 10's on it. Didn't like the sound at all, too much top end and a wimpy bottom. Then I tried out some Retro strings and loved the tone. Warm & balanced.

For 25.5" scale, 9-42
For 24.75" scale, 10-46
Whatever brand is on sale will do. Lately, I've been getting the best deals on Darco strings from Martin at Zzounds. I've been using them for a while.

I've been using D'Addario 10-46 for quite some time as I buy them in bulk when on sale. I also buy Ernie Ball wound G in bulk as I prefer the wound G. I have found it's cheaper to buy them this way instead of buying the D'Addario's with the wound G.

Cleartone 10's

They are the best strings (for my tastes) that I've used yet. I use Cleartones on my acoustic, too :embarrassed:
