What are your go to electric guitar strings?

12Pack

Dyslexic b00n
Name and size?

I've been experimenting with half step down tuning for the new gig. haven't found anything I'm comfortable with or that really feels that great.

Playing a Gretsch as my main guitar for now and a G&L Tele

ernie ball pink super slinky (.009-.042)
i've tried from .0075's to .012's and the .009's are what i've settled on for Strats.

i generally go to .010's for the Les Paul's or other gibson style/length guitars.

Ernie Ball .010-.046, mostly...my Telestrat likes GHS Nickel Rocker .010-.046 better...I occasionally will put a set of GHS Burnished Nickel .010-.046 on my Strat to darken it up a bit...and I used EB .009-.042 on my "Floyd" guitar...

GHS Boomers at this point. 10.5 and I may go up to 11's

10s and whatever is on sale. I bought a bunch of Dunlops on the SDOTD a while back and they've been fine. If I had my 'druthers though, I'd probably go with D'Addarios.

It's a pretty small jump, so there shouldn't be much change in tension since your going to be tuning down 1/2 step...if it's more of a "feel" issue then changing brands may help alleviate it...EB has a "Power Slinky" set that runs .011-.048 that you may find a bit "softer" to play than the Boomers...

electrics- D'Addario 10's
Acoustics- John Pearse phosphor-bronze Med (12's)
Dobro- 13's, Not sure what brand at the moment.

I did string the Strat I built for my son with 11's, but that's because he is a bass player and likes the tension.

D'Addario 10-46 on my JM vibrato equipped short scale guitars and 11-49 on my teles.

I use them because you get points with every pack and once you have enough points, you get free stuff

D'Addario has a frequent-buyer program? Who knew?

I'm a bit out of the mainstream in that I use 9s or 10s on short-scale Fenders. I like Elixir coated strings.

EB 10 for normal use.
EB Not Even Skinny for B Standard Death Metal use.
DR Tite-Fit 10s for extreme vibrato dive-bombing gymnastics...they really do hold tune better.
