WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO......RIGHT NOW......Mk III

The past few weeks I've been keeping this techno/industrial/synthwave music from Youtube just playing in the background about 1/2 the time when I'm home. It's not generally my style of music at all but one of the mix videos was 'auto-suggested/played' by the youtube algorithm and I was kinda taken with it. There's a channel called Aim To Head that seems to have dozens of 2-4hr mixes of this music, seemingly none of which has vocals.

It makes for some rhythmically interesting background noise.

Deebo, you have just made my day. That is a deep cut. People don't usually venture out of the Fire of Love/Miami/Las Vegas Story triumvirate (for good reasons, the other albums aren't as good). But that is an absolute killer song. I kinda hate Robin Guthrie's production, because I think Cocteau Twins and The Gun Club are polar opposites, but that track slays.

Also, is he picking behind the bridge, or picking behind the nut? It's a super cool little thing.

Like the Fall for me they are just one of those bands I like everything I hear from them. I'm really digging this album! It's a bit different than the others but it is very good.

Feel Flows and Long Promised Road are my two most favorite BB songs and Surf's up my favorite album of theirs. I first got it a couple days before I went on a trip to Death Valley back in December of 2012 and I went to checkout the Barker Ranch which was The Manson family hideout and where they captured Charlie hiding in the bathroom (tiny tiny bathroom) Unfortunately someone burned down the ranch building like a year before I went but the foundation and part of the walls were there still. It was fascinating from a historical POV and I did get to see the junkyard they had nearby full of cans and cars/car parts (at the time they were stealing cars so I like to think I might've seen some of the stolen cars). Anyway so that album I listened to on the trip and having the BB/Manson connection made it extra groovy by Feel Flows is a song by naturte that evokes memories so :IDK: it's just a real great song . I think it's been used in a few movies as well.

Here's a video I took

If you wanna see how it looked when it was still fully intact search "Barker Ranch before fire"

The junkyard was ike 200 yards from the house

The Bathroom where they found Charlie hiding under the sink was the left front corner here. If you see the pictures before the fire it was really a beautiful house with arched entry , etc.

This can was right outside the right front room which was the bedroom, Colgate shave foam....I like to think it mighta been one of the Manson dudes or even manson chicks (leg shaving) but probably not although the can looks to be from that era.

Far out! Love those photos.

That's a cool/eerie trip, and Surf's Up is a terrific soundtrack for it. I'd like to do it myself.
