WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO......RIGHT NOW......Mk III

I don't get it, DdBob.

I watched this.

Kept waiting for Wendy Carlos. Finally got to WC and the gist in the very short segment on her was "she played some bach on the synth, it was popular but she was a lame-o, the end". And prior to that there was compliment paid to another artist that was obviously at her expense. So bad I have to wonder if there was some TERF nonsense at play.

That's really surprising and disappointing. I would have expected a lot better. :frown:

How was the Delia Derbyshire stuff, by the way?

No complaints. It was an above average chronological who's who up to that point. Was impressed by https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bebe_and_Louis_Barron, who I don't think I'd heard of.

It rankled even more because I've seen this, where they pan the soundtrack and say pretty much verbatim that it "would have been better if they got somebody who knew more about synthesizers."

Love it when Dwight goes full 'Brian Jones Stones having a rave up with Buck Owens in Bakersfield'.

Makes me want to bash out chords on a Casino through an AC30 and yee-haw.

Funny how the AC30, the quintessential British Invasion amp, has become the go-to amp for many country players, like vice versa the Ford V8, the quintessential American combustion engine, has powered many British race cars.

I often sit and think about this.

In '95, I think it was, I was hooked on Vol. 4 for a couple of months. Still love the opener so much.

Can't give it nowt but a solid 10. Sabotage sometimes makes inroads but I always point to it as my fav. Supernaut was the one that drew me in. Unfortunately, the reunion tour coincided with my one big weight blip so the Vol. 4 shirt I bought will remain in storage. :embarrassed:
