I'm getting into a City Pop binge right now (popular in Japan in the late 70s - late 80s). It doesn't get any better than this....

Great performance! You really weren't exaggerating about the dorkiness though! That's an incredibly 'dorky dad band playing at the junior high open day' line-up

Starcrawler is a great band. There's a real good halloween show on YT they did from a couple years ago.
No more Pennies is probably my most favorite song of theirs cust the country flavor.

It's my favorite too, because of the country vibe. Henri the guitarist is a pretty damn good singer too.

Have you seen this acoustic set? They do all the usually rocky songs in a Gram Parsons style. I might like them even better that way.

 
Like this new Carly album. A lot more bass and drums heavy than her previous. Also sounds a bit darker/more experimental. But every song has a huge hook.
