Ian Gillan's new waveish guitarist from his Japanese album played on most of Kim's albums and wrote some of the songs. His name was Steve Byrd(RIP).
Here he is with Gillan in Japan in 1978. The band is top notch and tight as fook. The songs are gold. It's interesting to see the Japanese crowd get into the show. The host asks Ian questions between songs. I would've loved to have been there.
