Right now I'm listening to the full length recording of A Flock of Seagulls Live at The Ace Brixton from late 1982 and being mesmerized by Paul Reynolds' euphoric EBow work.

I went and bought Avatar - Feather & Flesh yesterday. I've listened to it a couple of times now, I think it's a really good album overall. They mix a lot of different styles on the album. It isn't straight out chugga chugga screamo metal, though there are elements of that. Some progressive metal, some melo-death metal, some guitar runs and riffs that remind me of classic metal, all thrown into a concept album.

New Robert Cray album. Robert Cray & Hi Rhythm.

I was planning on seeing him last night at the Birchmere, but got stuck at home. Great vintage style R&B album with some killer guitaring. He channels Al Green a few times and that's NEVER a bad thing...unless we're talking 1980's Al Green (not a good period for the Reverend).

The only bad part is that it makes me angry that I didn't go. He's playing in Annapolis on 6/6...maybe I'll go to that one.

I'm having a really hard time settling on something that I want to listen to today. I want music, I'm just can't fit anything that's fitting my mood. This doesn't happen often.
