We're moving house next week.

A monumental moment. Also, moving sucks. We moved 4 times in 16 years. The last 3 were in the span of 6 years and we've been here coming up on 7.

I've moved 5 times in the past 9 years. We will stay here for at least until I hit retirement. After that - who knows.

We moved 3400 km last year while I had unrepaired full-thickness tears in three of the tendons in my right shoulder. Forgive me if I am not totally sympathetic to your plight. :corksniffer:

How many miles is 3400 km? :embarrassed:

Her solicitor missed something with her side of the money requiring 6 days to be released.

Legally we shouldn't really but I've spoke to my friend and we're plowing on with the move on Thursday regardless.

That was me in my 20's and 30's. I think I moved 6 times in 11 years plus I had a pick up truck that whole period so I moved all my freinds various times and a couple coworkers. Been at my current place since 2005.

And now I need to go back across town to our solicitors tomorrow because the paperwork we signed on Friday had spelled the sellers name wrong.

Buying/selling a house is one of the most soul-crushing endeavors anyone can go through short of major medical trauma...

I had 3 major surgeries when I was in my early 20s.

The first one saved my life, the other 2 had copious amounts of morphone administered after. Much nicer than dealing with this bullshit.

It turns out, after filling it, that the hire vans back door doesn't have a locking mechanism so if anyone wants to try and ponce poor old Geordies array, tonight is the night.
