And you're in the same county we are, yet my kids got sat-tues.
I'm sure we were notified. In fact, I have no doubt that said notification was delivered amongst the incessant automated phone calls and emails sent every fucking day, for every stupid fucking unimportant bullshit reason they can think of.
It is honestly both exhausting and maddening. Sometimes 3 calls per day, never less than 1. Almost always because little Johnny had a bowel movement or little Susie got her fucking braces removed.
I hate to say it, but I don't listen anymore, and I don't read the emails. It's so bad that I seriously considered changing the phone number on file to the nearest Taco Bell. You can't get through dinner without the gawddammed school calling 2 or 3 times.
Conversely, in the midst of a BIG deal involving two students at my kids' High School over these past few weeks who were indefinitely suspended and facing expulsion due to the discovery of weapons in their cars, went without a single fucking call or email from those assholes... and I'm not the only one calling "foul" on that.
Btw, both kids had pocket knives in the vehicles they drove to school. Both were driving trucks belonging to their Dad's at the time, both have no history of trouble, one is Honor Roll, the other Lettered in 4 sports. Both were "caught" during a random search with a drug sniffing dog, the dog "alerted" to both vehicles, no drugs were found in either...
