Walnut Hollowbody Build

Looking good bro. Slow down... you're going too fast. J/K
Hey, you said you were looking for dogear P-90, not too hot right?
One or two?
Will you be making standard cavities for this type of pup(s)?

I need two.
Dogear P90s were my original plan but I'm open to suggestions.
I can cut whatever hole I need to, but the pickups will have to be either surface mount or pick guard/ring mount.
Can't do a Soapbar style that screws into the base.

I just caught that part. It really is going faster than I anticipated. For some reason, I didn't think I'd be this far for another month.
There's still a long way to go, however. I have decided to leave the corners more or less square rather than the super round I was planning originally. That, of course, leads me to want to install binding on the body. That'll take some time.
Then there's the finish work and I don't rush finish work. You can ask Guitar Heel about that.

And I got the pots and switch mounted along with the jack.

I have made my call on dealing with the f hole and accessing the controls for service.
Most of my family and many of you felt that no f hole is a good idea and that's how I'm going, BUT
I also believe that a hole is needed. The guitar has to breathe, after all, right?

Anyway, here it is.

:annoyed: Well it looks as though my neck took a spill while I was out of town. It's not too bad but there's a good ding on one corner of the headstock.

How does full width binding look? This is about as close as I've found to what I'm thinking.

I can't even see the ding.

I didn't post a pic of the ding.

This is pre-ding. The bump would be on the lower right corner of the headstock in this pic. On the bass side, near the transition between the headstock and neck.

I'll experiment tonight but I'm thinking just a simple maple band all the way around.
Pretty sure I'll be doing maple binding on the body, so it would all match.
