Dig it! The Perpetual Pedalboard of the Day Thread

Bass Board. Hopefully will do double duty for electric or upright.
Been working on this for a while. Wasnt satisfied with my comp, just got the MXR.
No dirt other than drive on the Sans Amp, but I rarely use much dirt anyway on bass, figured I go w chorus. Could always swap if needed.

how do you like the MXR? I've tried a few different bass compressors but I always go back to the Keeley Bassist. I haven't tried the MXR though…

I haunt really played it in the heat of battle yet but I it seems like its gonna do the job. I like the lights and the extra controls over the JHS Whitey Tighty I was using.

About as vanilla as it gets: very late 90s Boss tuner, mid 90s RAT2, and a late 80s DD3.

Stuff that I have owned and used for years and years. I got the DD3 very cheap in 92, I think, when everyone was into racks and multi fx. Got the RAT in maybe 95(?), and the tuner is probably from 98 or 99.

That’s the size of my band board these days. Two pedals and a Boss tuner.

and the latest "big board"!

What are your thoughts on the RE-20? One of the bands I was in ages ago had the real thing, but I found it rather noisy and difficult to use with guitar. Then I tried the Boss some years ago and really liked it, especially how you can add a bit of gain to the signal. I just couldn't justify buying one when I already have a DD-3 that I'm really happy with.

I love mine. Totally different feel and sound vs a DD3, which I also love and have right next to the space echo on this board. I also have the new RE-2 which is the compact-size boss space echo and it sounds great too and gets essentially the same sounds (though fewer features than the RE-20). You can see it on my most recent "small board" pic upthread.

I have scaled down considerably. This will do me 99% of the time into the Carr.
About the only variable I might need to swap out depending is the Touch Wah.
If I really want more distortion I can throw a FuzzFace in the front.

What's the Booster/Preamp like? I've been looking for a very low-gain OD/preamp type of pedal that isn't as nasal and mid-focused as my old TS-9, and one that has even less gain. I really like the Tube Screamer for that '80s type of mainstream rock tone, but I'm getting more and more into surfier types of sounds.

Ive been thru several boosts, I tend to use them as a touch sensitive leave it on pedal. The Carr cranked to edge of breakup is usually louder than I want to play. Ive tried clean boosts(RC, EP, Chili Picoso,GE7) to various ODs with the gain turned down. My prefs seem to change depending on the guitar and genre, I have usually defaulted to a BD2 instead of a TS or BB. I also really like a DOD250, very touch sensitive, but its an edgier kind of gain with more of it when you dig in, very dynamic.
The BP1-w seems to kinda split the diff between a low gain OD and a clean boost. So far, I prefer the Space Echo setting along with the darker sounding vintage buffer. But the SE/uncolored/CE switch combined with the 2 buffer settings give you a lot of options.
