Actually, I think it would be a really cool idea if most of the people who do stuff for this thing would film themselves playing. By the end of it we could have a pretty cool music video (if someone could be arsed to do the editing).

Mine was shot with the video function on my Canon point and shoot still camera btw.
I'm planning on getting a proper video camera by summer though, and better software to edit with of course. I put this one together with the Nero Vision express iirc.

UPDATE:

When starting to add a few tracks a few hours ago, I noticed the balance on the drum mix was a bit screwy (and that I'd gone a bit overboard on the reverb). Sometimes happens when mixing drums before anything else is added.

I think my version is definitely heading in a heavier direction.

Added a new bass track, as well as a second heavy od track (done with a baritone guitar tuned in C# standard). Br00talz. :rawk:

This may be a stupid question, but is there any reason why all of the individual tracks are uploaded as stereo files? Obviously the drum sub-mixes need to be, but the others???

It's just because I actually mixed each track down and forgot to set them for mono. Both sides should be the same.

I think I recorded it at 24 bit, 48khz, so I mixed everything down to 16/44.1.

It is as I suspected. I'm gonna convert them to mono here in order to save processing power and screen real-estate for mixing. I have swapped in Dexter's (pre-mixed) drum tracks and am working up some gooey slide guitar. Am pretty busy with some other stuff though, so please don't expect anything for a few days yet.

I have no idea at the moment what I'll be doing with the melody/vocals yet though, so that could potentially stall things a bit...
