The Friday Thread 2:Electric Boogaloo!!!

Wife and kids out of town for the weekend. Celebrating Easter Sunday night when they get back. I'm looking forward to a guitar filled weekend. And some Skyrim. A nap. Some booze. Gonna grill up a steak Saturday night. Maybe watch a movie. :grin:

And then season finale of The Walking Dead Sunday night. Woot!

I slept for about 13 hours last night.
I'm resting on the couch today.

I do have a few chores to do to get ready for the big family dinner on Sunday.

Going out to see vinylflux.ca on Saturday night. They're playing a new venue.
 
Second date with this chick tomorrow. It's going to be like ten hours. I'm not sure if that's a bad thing or a good thing. Show at 6 PM, dinner reservations at 8:30 P.M. 1.5 to 2 hours of driving each way, leaving around 2:30 P.M. Maybe something after dinner, even? (Not that.)

I gotta keep shit interesting for that long. The show helps. Driving for 4 hours, not so much.

Orlando traffic might be kinda shitty tomorrow to boot.

Tonight: dinner with friends at a local brewpub/pizzeria, then watch the Phils game on DVR.

Tomorrow: driving range, might wash my car, then hang out with friends that night, maybe hit up the bar.

Sunday: possibly golf, or just lounge around the house.
 
Havin' a "Street Taco Lonchera" today at work, so yay for free food. Other than that, it's shaping up to be another long slow day. *yawn*
 
I slept about two hours last night. :annoyed:

I am working 8:embarrassed:0 AM to 6:embarrassed:0 PM at my office; tonight Carol and I are going to a stringband concert at the Montague Bookmill. (If I can stay awake.) Tomorrow I will work 8:embarrassed:0 AM to 4:embarrassed:0 PM; at 6:30 there is a coffeehouse/talent show at the Unitarian Church. I am supposed to do three songs there. The Sunday morning Carol and I are doing a multimedia show at the 10:30 AM service at the Unitarian church. I am looking forward to Monday. :facepalm:
 
Friday - Work. No real plans for the evening, but if some deliveries show up today, I might have to hide out in the basement.

Saturday - I think I'm moving some furniture to the curb at my MIL's. Then, we're going to Niagara Falls to attend a black-tie charity event to raise funds for college scholarships and bursaries. I'm an alum but the college is also my customer and we buy out a table and harangue the CIO all night. :tongue: Not really, I get along with him very well. He's a foodie too. So, I can relate. Most of my colleagues stay overnight in The Falls because they have a bit of a drive. So, we get a room to. Send some credit card mojo please. Last year, I put in what I thought was just a throw-away bid to bump up the price and I actually won. *Needs to pay attention to his watch*

Sunday - I expect we'll have breakfast at IHOP. Not by my choice, but they have bacon. So, whatever. Then probably relax the rest of the day.
 
Today - party prep for my sons birthday party, work and lunch with Martin. I get to see his new Challenger methinks :)

Saturday - work, another kids birthday party at Chuck E Cheeses (chow), yard work and then gig at the Blue Beet

Sunday - Sons birthday party. it'll be a madhouse.
 
Today - leave work early, go to the hospital to pay for next week's tailpipe surgery
Sat - take care of some stuff around the house
Sun - play golf AM, PM go check into a hotel for a training dealie that will hold me captive for three days

Enthusiasm not running high right now... :(
 
Tonight. Meet up with a guy that needed some pedals repaired, the guy with the Gretsch, and another guy that brought the PRS SE with the broken truss rod. Mrs T wants to go to some sort of home show to fondle patio furniture probably Friday also or at some point over the weekend.

Tomorrow. Wash cars in the morning, then into the shop. Hopefully get out to see a friends band later in the evening.

Sunday, shop time all day.
 
Tonight - Middle school musical gig

Saturday - Two shows at the middle school, 2:embarrassed:0 and 7:embarrassed:0

Sunday - Try and start learning the new songs for the band and 5 tunes for church the following week. Geez - you would think I did this music thing for a living with all the time I have put into it over the past three weeks.
 
I'm gonna live vicariously through whatever y'all are doing. I just watched my wife mop and then go to bed. Both of my sons are asleep already. Its 830pm on Friday night. I'm so damned bored. Guess I'll throw some headphones on and practice for a while.
It sucks not knowing anyone here to play, let alone hang out with. My neighbors are all gossiping alcoholics.
This is depressing. :(

I had a rather uneventfull night. My best freind got a couple free tix for a comedy show. Really funny comedians. After the show got out, we went out for sushi & brew. As it turned out, one of the comedians from the show was at the restaurant. We got to talking for a short while and the guy said that we were a lively crowd, and almost too polite. He said he was in the mood to lay some smartass on hecklers but it didn't happen.
 
Grandparents are in town, so they're coming over on Sunday for a visit. I'm not much of a sit-and-visit kinda guy, but mostly it will be playing with the rug bug. Grandma hasn't yet met the rug bug, so I'm sure that will occupy much of the time.

Headed down to Florida for the weekend to see my Brother in law and sister in law and their kids that we haven't seen in 6 years. My nephew is 20 and is a natural guitar talent. I'm excited to jam with him if he's up for it. The girl he thought was the one recently dumped him so he's pretty depressed.
There's a car show in the parking lot of my parents restaurant on Saturday so I'll try to get some pics of that.
Sunday is my dad's 60th birthday and Monday is my parent's 39th wedding anniversary.

Working most of the weekend to finish a guitar for Tuesday. Will post pics.

Saturday evening is the all you can eat wing buffet again. 32 kinds of wings. Then probably see one of the local bands.

Sunday. I've got another sweet Gretsch in the shop for a set up. Some kind of double anniversary with a yellow top and a copper back. I'll post some pics.
 
Work today.

Saturday - I need to get out to my brother's place and sort the stuff in the car hauler, and get the trailer off of the jack stands, but I don't think the weather is going to cooperate. I sold the 68 Charger and I'm delivering it next Saturday.
We are going to see our favourite local band again on Saturday night.

Sunday, I would like to sleep all day and night. I haven't been feeling well rested all week.
