Maybe most of you know this one. But for people with lots to do, this is an awesome meal, with very little effort. Lots of bang for the buck.

Get either a Pork or Beef roast.
Put it in a deep pan. Sprinkle a pack of onion soup mix on the roast, then cover that with a can of cream of mushroom soup.
Add half a can of water, and half a can of soy sauce.
Cut up carrot, potato, and onion in big chunks and place in the pan around the roast.
cover with tin foil, and bake in the oven at 350 degrees for about 2 and a half to 3 hours. Dont need to peek or anything, just go play guitar, do whatever.

Bingo. It's to die for.

Leftover roast is awesome too, you can shred it up and make tacos, whatever.

When my wife makes roast she actually pushes whole cloves of garlic into the meat before she cooks it...pull them out when you serve but if you like garlic its really nice...

I do that with pork roast, very tasty!

I always make sure to brown the sucker before I put it in the oven. Makes the gravy from the pan drippings yummy. drool0

Interesting, just put some oil in a pan and flip it over a few times?

that's what I do...it seals the outside, keeps it form drying out.

I also use a can of french onion soup in the roasting pan when I put it the oven it makes for some excellent gravy AOK
