That Seedy Table In The Dark Corner Where The Reprobates Gather

I would too. I don't have the patience for that sort of thing. Almost feel like it would be easier in the long run to get the CNC machine yourself.

I have one of those sitting in my office right now...a student bought it at the swap meet and he want me to make it playable...

mine was one of the freebees from the "giveaway" on HC... mine came from the factory set up perfect, great frets, an all wilkinson hardware... it really is a damn solid guitar, but counting this, i have 3 strats and a super strat. i've been wanting to check out New Dawns for a while so i hit Ken up about a trade, this is actually the only guitar i have of any actual value... well, besides my Westbury and my Peavey HP anyway...

They gave these away on HC?

well the story goes like this... HC member etawful bought a kit from TTM, it turned out to be junk (maple veneer glued on crooked, neck hole drilled crooked, etc). so, he posts a rant thread about it. the owner of TTM, Lance Benedict, comes on to defend himself. like most HC argument threads it goes south in a damn hurry. in the midst of it all Mr. Benedict, instead of addressing his QC issyes, starts handing out free guitars. something like 25 people were supposed top get them, only 17(i think) of us did... i was the last. we were all supposed to get slayer models(which is what i have). for some reason there was some sort of delay in production so Lance tells everyone that they can have a devastator in their own choice of color instead or wait for the slayers. i opted to wait as i have no use for a shred axe with a floyd. all the devastators received had much problemos, the biggest being fairly major finish flaws. me and one other member opted for the slayer, actually Lance told me that he'd build me an eliminator with p90's but, out of everyone that recieved them, mine was the ONLY on with 0 finish flaws. the only problem with mine is the tone pots. and i think that's more of a wiring issue than anything...

while we're on the subject Mark... do you happen to sell pots and shielding tape?

clusterfuck.

The one I have in my office is a Mark Kendall model and it's kind of a clunky POS. For the $1700 asking price on the website it's a terrible guitar.

I could probably get that stuff but I dont currently stock any of it. I'm in the process of changing my vendor for the retail stuff so I'll take a look later this morning...

Mornin Matt,

Yeah - I just discovered that other thread last night. I think EG tends to hang out here more because it is in the "Guitar" folder. I would prefer this one for the same reason. It seems like there is a slightly larger group in the OMG thread. But I prefer the location of this one.

Maybe others sill be along to chime in.

Did the furniture moving go OK?

My big task today is to chop up a tree branch - about 15 - 18 feet long, that I cut down on Wednesday.

I will probably get my motorcycle out of "storage" today too. Woot Woot!

Went great! Got my woodshop time set up for next week and new wood coming to the house today for a build. My bike is sitting out in the rain right now:facepalm: I like being in the guitar area to surf around in the build and pic threads. What kind of wood?

Today is shaping up like another "Man v. Yard" day as my wife calls them. Plus it's the mother-in-law's birthday. WOOHOO!

I was thinking about doing some man vs couch today:tongue:

Mornin DMan (again).

I made the decision today IS the day to get the bike ready.

It would be nice to see this thread somehow combined with the OMG thread. I agree w/ Matt - ti is too much work to hang out in both places.

Mystical work for today: Visualize Integration of Threads. AUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM .

Good morning people!! It doesn't matter to me which if the two I use. I'm suprised the OMG thread is in the Lounge , since the original one is in HCEG.

I wouldn't mind having another cycle (even a Craigslist fixxer upper), but it would cost me addtional 75 or $80/month to keep it parked indoors, rather than outside (where my car is), at my apartment building. I refuse to leave one parked outdoors all the time. I did that years ago with my last motorcycle, and it got pretty ratty looking, and corrosion from rain caused the electrical system to get screwed up. Putting a cover on one that's outdoors - one of the people I supervise, does that with hers, but I knew a few people that ended up with their covers getting stolen off of the bikes.
