Rock out with your cock out! No one will know if your guitar is in front of it:wink: Happy day off! I am off too, but I am going to help my buddy that has the super woodshop. I trade my muscles for an expert lesson on professional tools.

Hey Ellen!

GtrGrl,

You are outside Milwaukee. Did you move? Why did I think you were in Prairie du Chien?

- w

Yes, I moved here from my hometown (Manitowoc), for my present job, 6 years ago. I spent 3 years in Madison in the 80s, finishing up my first engineering degree. I've never lived in Prarie Du Chien

Morning Matt,

What's the plan today? I still have the OLP BTW.

About to go help my buddy move some furniture into a newly finsihed room. I have wondered if you ever bonded with that guitar. Great pups and really cool neck. I would not have sold it if I hadn't already commited to buy something else, I would bet money that would be perfect at the nut for silverring.

Morning fellers! Glad to hear Jerry is on the mend. I been praying for you bro.

We had band practice and a small set for our college students last night. It went awesome! We got great comments and really had a good time playing. I am really digging a regular gig. I am getting better every week...although that isn't saying much. lol

Well God knows where Praire Du Chien came from.

We stopped doing it a couple years ago, but we used to drive up for 1 GB Packers game a year. A couple times we drove up and down the peninsula. I like those little towns along the Wisc peninsula.

I like the OLP. But the strings are a royal pain to change. But I don't have any immediate plans to sell. The initial problems with the tremolo getting in the I quickly worked through.

How about some clips of the band?

I thought about doing a band again, but I don't think I have the patience for it. I think my stuff will be solo with over dubbing. Although I have toyed with the idea of a Guitar/Drums duo. Pipe dream though.

I gotta say, Mark runs a great forum here. The original "Delete Me" thread getting deleted was pretty "jive" to start with.

Happy Friday.
This thread is attracting a lot of new faces.

I'm gonna be hooking up to the PA this weekend to do some "live" rehearsals of my new tune, Oklahoma State Line Blues. Hope to have video of the wreckage.
It's getting pretty close I think. I'll be taking it to an open mic before long, I hope.
Very exciting.

Welcome back Yavin. Where's the dog? You used to have a dog as your avatar.

Well Woody, we actually gave her to some friends of ours on Wednesday. She was an awesome dog, and I love her dearly but with work, Church (I am Children and College Pastor), Seminary classes and 3 kids plus a new one on the way in July we just didn't have the time to spend with her. I am still bummed about it.

That's too bad, Yavin. My neighbors just made the same decision, and sent their 2 year old lab to live with their cousin who has a lot of land and a pond. They're pretty bummed. Not to mention my dog who keeps looking around for her friend. :(

Dogs do require some attention. I think you did the right thing. The worst thing is to get overloaded - then everyting suffers. You are in the transportation business too - right?

Good luck with the family & other activities.

Time for a visit to the humane society?

We did not really plan on it, but we have 3 dogs. Lamb Chop (White German Shepard), Leah (a stray husky that wondered up to my fence one morning, and ended up adopting me), and also a Sheltie (which is really my wife's dog). They are all great dogs, and keep each other company. We leave them un-kenneled in the house during the day. They are really good dogs, and don't mess the carpet or the furniture. I feel really lucky to have their company, plus my wife of course, who puts up with me, and numerous gear acquisitions.

Yeah Woody, I am IS Manager for a trucking company here in Knoxville.

We definitely want to get a friend for our dog, and we're definitely going to go the adoption route when we do. But we're expecting our first baby in the next few weeks, so we're going to take it one step at a time for now :)
