That Seedy Table In The Dark Corner Where The Reprobates Gather

Good morning.

I agree with NB's comment that HCEG is a little faster. But 80 % of the people that used to be there are not. I mean there is a small group that is complaining, a very smaller group that is looking for the silver linings, but 80 % of what I call "the silent majority" are no where to be seen. I posted last night that if the speed would improve, I would be inclined to post as I used to - but it's not just me that makes the community. It will be interesting to see what happens with the 80%. But it is sure not what it used to be right now. The activitiy is just not there. Maybe 80% just gave up - or maybe they will come back in time. Time will tell.

Nice to hang out here though - a more intimate group/intimate community.

I've only driven in Chicago a handful of times. Pretty bad. That was one of the big reasons I wanted out of Dallas. Friggin awful.

I grew up in S. Wisc - Janesville area. As a kid I would listen to WLS - Larry Lujack show. Radio was great back then - Rock, followed by Soul, followed by Ballads, followed by Country Rock. A real mix.

Well, we all know what happened to the last ship....

I just love that pic.
All it needs is people jumping off the ship.

I HATE CHICAGO TRAFFIC!!!!!!! :Rage:

Yeah, it's a real party, which is why I try NOT to go down there during rush hour. Last year, I got caught on the Eden Expressway during rush hour. It took me 1 hour to go 10 miles! I don't like rolling parking lots!

i think i'm gonna stay here full time...but i dunno for sure

The offices I had to go to were in Burr Ridge. Lovely drive down a toll road if I remember right. It's been a while.
Traffic in St louis wasn't so bad unless there was a problem. There aren't many alternate routes to get places.
OKC is pretty easy to get around in. Most of the highways are big enough and there's a big grid of four lane surface streets every mile. Plenty of workarounds if you find a bad spot.
Unless the wind blows you off the road.

Got my power supply for the reveb. :thu:

thats because st louis isnt a "big" town:tongue:

Nah, it's not that big. Larger than OKC for sure but nothing compared to Dallas. That place is a traffic hellhole.
Lotsa nice wheels to ogle while you're sitting on 635 though. Porches look great driving 10mph. :thu:
