Tell me about multi effect pedals

Partly because of my impatience, and partly because I realized the limitations of the GT-1, I took a ride to CME this afternoon and bought a Boss GV-10. It's a newer design and has A LOT more features than the GT-1. It should, it costs twice as much.

Let me know if I can help with assigning foot switches and whatnot. (Laying out the signal path is easy, but the assigning is a bit of a learning curve.) Oh, and get yourself a cheapo two-button foot switch to plug into the CTL 2,3 jack in the back. Then you'll have five buttons to work with.
 
Do you have a link to a footswitch example? I'm seeing momentary, stereo cable, mono cable, etc. What am I looking for? Will this work? It uses a stereo cable.

Yeah, you need a trs cable, momentary switch. That one looks fine. I've seen a lot of people mention the Ampero Switch.

I have this one, which I've used with both a BOSS GT-1 and an HX Stomp.
