Newsflash! Soccerball International Championship thread?

Brazil are so dumb.

All that ability and they just HAVE to try to walk the ball into the net.
So naive.

Loving that the ref refuses to fall for Neymar's bullshit btw.

Belgium was playing not to lose, in the 2nd half, and almost lost.

Why didn't they keep playing like they did in the 1st half?

Brazil changed tactic and they started playing better. Belgium couldn’t risk attacking too much, it’s easier to sit back and defend in that situation

Also, Belgium's tactics throughout the tournament has been to sit back somewhat and counterattack at speed.

I wonder what modern miracles of medical science the Russian players are being subjected to prior to tomorrow's match?

The referee wasn't going to fall for any of Neymar's nonsense.

Yup, well done. One of them probably was a penalty though, but that really is what you deserve when you get a reputation for diving.
Also, can't believe he wasn't booked for at least one of the 2 blatant dives for penalties earlier in the game.

Tite has a bit of a blindspot there. Brazil just play better when Firmino and Costa play. Yet none of them ever start a game.
Not unusual for national teams that though.

That’s what I mean, it’s not that you could have possibly missed the fact. Possibly that has been Brazil’s undoing: They only know 1 way to play and leave a lot of space for counterattacking teams to exploit. That and Neymar. Don’t ge me wrong, apart from being an annoying cheat, he is an amazingly talented player, but NOT a team player

Regardless the last 2 games Belgium has played in have been great games to watch. Lots of drama.

Glad to see that Neymar's overacting came back to haunt him. Some of those were fouls and could have been called but he brought the non calls on himself. He's a supremely talented player and if he stops doing the overacting he'll probably get more calls to go his way after all. We shall see in 4 years if he learned anything :P

Yeah, got to admit I got a bit of schadenfreude going towards Neymar.
Exceptionally talented, but such an idiot, and he was really poor tonight.

The inherent arrogance the Brazil teams have really annoy me btw. And it keeps biting them in the arse, which I find quite enjoyable.

That's the thing I love about the WC, you can have all the talent you want, but if you're not prepared to really work for it you're just not going to win it.

Sweden showed me nothing during that match. I’m glad I don’t have to see their coach anymore...
