Berklee's going alright I'd say. I really faltered and slacked off towards the middle and the end result is unfortunately that I'm gonna be here for 5 years total. That was all me though, I have nothing but love and respect for Berklee and the people who teach and who learn there. I have also learned so much at Berklee- as much from the students as from the professors. There are students here who are undeniable musical geniuses. Things are going well otherwise, I'm working on putting together a funk-fusion based jam band right now with some really talented people. I've become very intent on pursuing a career as a touring musician and plan on playing shows as often as humanly possible in the near future.
I've become fixated on live improv over the past few years. That form of unlimited creative expression just calls to me and speaks to me. If anyone's interested in some recommendations of bands from the jam scene to look into, I'm your guy!
First off, welcome
5 years? Wow...what are you doing thats so different?
My kid is there now, heading into his fourth year....
Its a great school... Expensive, but great. Cost of just living in Boston.....$$$$$$$$
Hope its all that you dreamed![]()
Hey RL welcome. Yes the old HCEG is certainly different now. There are a few trying to keep it together and I still drop by but it sure feels different than in the old days and this place has the homey feeling to it
Based on the number of new members over there who are bumping old threads or are starting really generic threads in HCEG I'm starting to think that HC is using a service like this to stir traffic: http://www.postloop.com/ - essentially you pay this company to have people post on your forum to get things rolling or to look like there is a community there.
Example: http://www.harmonycentral.com/t5/Electric-Guitars/Beautiful-Guitars/m-p/35740087#U35740087 and http://www.harmonycentral.com/t5/El...-finally/m-p/35603693/highlight/true#M4190784
Wait, I can get paid to post on forums? How do I get that job?!
