Return to the Planet of the "Hey Euro's its that time again" Thread.

Good luck jbj!

I'll be honest. I don't think I've posted much anywhere on the forum since lockdown. Something's obviously changed where I didn't feel I had much to report. I've actually bought several guitars since that time and didn't even feel like posting about them.

Reading that back, it sounds like I might not be in a good place mentally, but actually I'm really good.

I actually haven't touched a guitar in forever :embarrassed: I've been mostly working on electronic music, samplers and synths and shit.

Though I might actually start a new project with friends that involves me doing some guitar.

One of the big house jobs over the Summer was renovating and decorating what is going to be the den. It's been finished since about June, telly up on the wall, ridiculous orange Stressless couch my mate gave me for free , guitars up on the wall. It's a great space and we've not been in it once except to dump boxes and bits from elsewhere in the house that's being worked on:headsmash:

I still have my acoustic downstairs and bought a really nice wooden stand for it so it can sit in the living room looking nice, I play that almost daily but it's just noodling and strumming away, I've not actively learned anything new skill wise for years.

Got my job application finished and submitted this afternoon :thu: had a big wig meeting with one of my tricky parents but it turned out more positive than I thought it would. For me and the corporate school as a whole, a short sighted colleague probably not so much :embarrassed:

We finish at half 2 tomorrow and that's me starting to get everything together for the big day.

We've been absolutely battered with this storm.

Work was closed today. Local FB groups showing trees down all over the place and a whole tenement roof has been ripped off across from my grans sheltered housing.

Half of our ridge tiles are fucked, one of them has smashed up my neighbours car  weirdly our decrepit old fence has managed to stand up to it.

I was meant to be gigging in Fife tonight but cancelled it yesterday and managed to get something else sorted for them. Gutted but definitely the right move.

Im gigging just outside Preston tomorrow and the outlook is much better but still not looking forward to the drive, lots of pals on FB who were travelling back up the M6 and 74 after the Rangers game today saying it was horrendous.

Coming back from a Rangers game is indeed horrendous :embarrassed:

It's been a weirdly calm, mild and fairly bright day in London. Hope the dug wisnae too freaked oot.

Turns out a mate who is a notorious wanderer when away is stuck in Carlisle, absolutely steaming with about 40 other daftness.

I've offered to pick him up en route home tomorrow. No good deed goes unpunished and it's not been accepted in the most gracious way:

"Where are you staying tonight? What do you man I can't make my way to (middle of nowhere) and stay with you(after a 16 hour shift)? What am I meant to do?"

"How much space is there in your motor? There's a bunch of people needing a lift."

"What time are you leaving at, I'm meant to be going to the Dundee game and I've tickets to drop off."

:headsmash:
