Those are apparently Ibanez Talman guitars custom made for the band without soundholes, so they are hollow...from the sound I'd say they have an acoustic pickup in the body...Anway, are they playing solidbodies with piezo pickups?

Yeah, you're on to something there...agreed...They look like almost a reboot of the sc500n as a talman
This made me think of Wes Powell, so I looked him up and saw he had a twitter but hasn't posted since 2020. Being a warrior, I guess he might have fallen in battle.

I put on my king crimson box set and fingerless gloves to post that
This is what appeals to kids today. Of course it's probably not going to be as good as the Trio or Lionel Loeuke or other pinnacle artists, but to the kids that is all old people's music with absolutely zero image appeal.Over produced for me. The guitars lack dynamics, the drums sound like triggered samples or even more like they're programmed.
If one wants to hear multi-nylon shredding, go to the Trio. Paco alone is staggering.
Classical? Elliot Fisk (among others)
You want to hear smooth but good nylon playing, listen to Earl Klugh.
Want to hear some lovely music written on and revolving around nylon strings, check out Mali (Habib's band).
Want to hear devastatingly good music played on nylon guitar, check out Lionel Loueke.
I also like Robert Gomez, Willie Nelson, Jerry Reed, Rodrigo & Gabriela, and many others.
These are just the first players to pop into my head...far from an exhaustive list and I know so many have been left and some of players aren't likely to rate with others. It's really just the music that I like that these folks happen to play on nylon strings. The Poly guys aren't my bag.
What did Wulfman Jax play, was it a Schecter into a Bad Cat up on a chair?

I wonder if he and Crab Cakes ever met up and formed a comedy acoustic rock duo. They should have.
A two-piece, Wendy Carlos 'Switched-On Bach'-type affair with Wulfie on the Farfisa, and Crabby on the Vox Continental.
They could call themselves 'Moe's Heart and Other Organs'
Was that the kid who studied Fux?You sure they wouldn’t benefit from orchestration from estew72?

What kids? Seriously asking out of interest.
My newly minted 18 year-old has no interest in this stuff, nor does our 11 yr-old. Are you specifically talking the guitar playing kids, because a lot of them are listening to a lot of other stuff in addition to or more likely instead of this.
Not that it's bad or they shouldn't like it, but it's just one tiny variation on the music theme. I'd hate for something like this to be the only thing in their musical diet.
This is what all of all of the guitar kids (that actually listen to guitar music) are into. I haven't heard the nylon string stuff yet.
