But they also knew that keeping things in order was to everybody's benefit. Trump not only doesn't know what that order is but also doesn't give a flying fuck.

trump doesn't have to know how to be slick and ordered. he has Graham, Cruz, Pence, Rubio, and the rest for that.
they're going to meet in the oval office, and the GOP insiders are going to lay it out for him.
put up a SCOTUS appointment. will sail thru.
then 'the crew' will put together legislation that they want, trump will sign it, SCOTUS will either refuse to hear it or hear it and decide nothing is wrong. passses.
and trump gets to appear to be the most successful GOP president since Eisenhower.

THAT'S the game we're looking at.

There’s next to nothing he can accomplish that Trump can’t undo on January 21. But one thing he might be able to do is dismantle the NSA PRISM program. Handing Trump the tools to spy on the entire world is insane. What a vindictive man like Trump can do with PRISM will make COINTELPRO look quaint by comparison. No journalist or activist will be safe after Trump takes office if PRISM is in place. And if Russia’s FSB and the NSA were to cooperate on this sort of thing we’ll be living in 1984.

Obama needs to evacuate the PRISM offices, datacenters, and backup storage facilities. Then order the Air Force to start bombing. Sure he’ll probably end up in jail for doing it, but he should have shut that shit down the day he took office, and now he has to take one for the team.
