NGD - Ibanez RG1570Z

Highernoon

Burninator
TL;DR - Scratched my itch for a metal/shred oriented guitar, a used black Ibanez RG1570Z prestige. First electric guitar purchase in 15 years (give or take).

The store where I bought my nylon string also sells used gear. About 2 months ago they got a black RG that caught my eye, after googling the serial number I learned that it's an RG1570Z (sometimes just called RG1570, but has an Edge zero bridge unlike the RG1570's Edge pro).

I was tempted. I had an itch for a "shredy" guitar for a while, and I though that if I'll get another electric I'd want it to have things that my SG doesn't - mainly a vibrato bridge and 24 frets - not because I must have them, but I want to have the option. Paying used price and getting store warranty (and payments) really appealed to me. As time passed it felt less like I was fighting the temptation and more like I'm negotiating with it. I already started to think where I might put stickers on it and which name I'll give it
Last Friday I went there to close the deal. Left it there for the weekend (I came near closing time and they needed to fix the loose tone knob and make sure it is properly setup).
I didn't play super strats (for more than a few minutes) in like 15 years, I wonder how it will feel when I'll get used to it more, meanwhile it feels effortless.
Came with a strap and a prestige J craft team hard case (it is probably the fanciest thing I have now).

The name (suggested by a friend) is Gentlyweeps, it still has the price sticker on it

That's about 680$ with the current Exchange Rates.

Also has a fancy booklet

It doesn't fuck, but I don't need it to be better than me in everything.

Thanks :)

Plugged it straight to my amp and played it a little yesterday, weird how much the differences are more noticeable when plugged to my usual gear.
