It will be an interesting game as it has been 2 years since the Pats last played the Seahawks. Former Seahawks Browner and Alan Branch face their old team meanwhile Landon Cohen was a former Patriot now with the Seahawks.

Being Hawaii you have no team to follow. So my team of choice has changed over the years but I tend to follow coaches more and their concepts for team play. My love for the Pats come by way of the Tuna. He coached the Giants when they had no real stars but an awesome defense led by LT. Then he left to coach the Pats and I followed. Parcells has always had great players who played like a team and no one real star or marquee type player.

Bledsoe was the QB at the time so I got to see Brady become who is today. When Tuna the left, Belichick took over and he too was with the Tuna in NY. He left to go and coach the Cleveland Browns. When Parcells left the Pats to coach the Jets, I did not follow. I don't like the Jets period no matter who is coaching.

Actually it wasn't for the SB but the first meeting between our rival teams, and was supposed to last until the next meeting. Steve was a gentleman though, and let me off early:thu:
 
Go Pats. I like Brady and would like to see him tied with the greats..

Ok, this is nearly 12 minutes long, but there is some pretty funny stuff!! I like Gronk! Seems like he would be funny guy to hang with. And Marshawn cracks me UP here! Conan has his moments too. Fun to see some guys just hanging out and being silly before the big game. Or is it during the big game?

 
Ya...That asshat that kept saying that he only showed up for the interview so he didn't lose money is enough alone for me to hope for the Pats...

Ok, moving on then. I am hoping to talk about positive things here before the game and stay out of the pre-game "controversies". If seeing two players from both teams enjoy each other's company prior to the game starts that other stuff up again, . . . well, shame on me for bringing it up. I turned the ignore button off because I thought we were past that. Let's try to stick to the positive aspects of the game please.

Anyways, I am interested in the matchup between Gronk, and Chancellor (with support from the rest of the D). As some of the rest of the Seahawks D said, it is a matchup between two big strong men that play their positions well. Just what you want to see in football, as Sherman said. Should be fun to watch.

What match ups do you guys find interesting? @Modern Saint ?

Fair enough...I only watch NFL games during regular season when the Pats are playing..

I watch the playoffs and am not qualified to know match ups...

I'll remove my stick from the fire.......

You don't have to know particular match ups to engage in the conversation. Just let's keep it about the game on the field. that is all that I request.

1) Brandon Browner mentioned that he and his former Seahawk teammate don't like to play against small recievers - Edelman, Amendola and LaFell - as they are squirrelly. Browner now plays for the Pats so he won't have to deal with that. When the two teams met in 2012, Welker was the small receiver along with Edelman but both weren't in together much as the three mentioned above.

2) All the focus is on the New England offense and the Seahawks D. I don't believe the Seahawks D to be as strong as the past two years and the Pats offense is more balanced than ever. The last time I saw a strong running game from the Pats was during the Corey Dillon years.

3) Improved secondary of the Pats with the additions of Browner and Revis. While the Seahawks are not a heavy passing team, will Baldwin get targeted if Revis is defending. I feel more passes will go to Kearse but Collins will help to keep him in check.

4) Wilson against the front 7. Will Wilson be able to move out of the pocket comfortably?
 
I am staying home. Did not want to go anywhere. Superbowl food consists of: Fried Chicken, Corn, Spring Mix Salad, Guac and Chips. If I wanted I made pulled pork in the slow cooker the other day hence, flour tortillas, guac, sour cream, salsa, lettuce and cheese. Round that off with Iced Tea and Water.
