need recommendation for a high gain pedal for leads... that costs less than $100

So are you using it as a boost, or as a subtle EQ massage? Where in the signal chain do you have it, at the end? Front end or FX loop?

I've been using it both ways, actually. Mostly to boost for solos but my gigs are so unpredictable volume-wise that sometimes I leave it on for a while and either volume knob or put other pedals in front of it for my lead tone. I put it into the front end since I don't have an FX loop amp but I don't think I would put it in the loop if I did since it seems like crushing the front of the amp is what it does best.
