Does it ever stop? I don't think so. I got some GAS for a maple acoustic so I decided to sell a guitar that I never really bonded with to fund it. My GAS was so strong I let GC rip me off to get it. Since I want what I want when I want it, I found a NOS on the web and negotiated a good price and now I am in the possession of a limited edition Eastman E16SS-TC-LTD. This is a slope shoulder with Gibson neck scale. It has a torrefied Adirondack top with maple back and sides. Ebony fretboard and bridge. Bone nut and saddle. So far the honeymoon is going well.
