There’s another possibility with the effects loop. It may have been designed for line level effects. My Fender amp loop is line level and if I try to use pedals in the loop, it causes noise.

My Peavey and VAC amps have loops designed to work with pedals. Stomp boxes work in those amp loops noise free.

I tried two different 8 ohm cabs. I did some research on this amp. It appears to be a design problem. It's been reported several times online.

Were you getting clipping or volume jumps when running time-based effects in the loop? I had the same issue with my Amelia hence the mod.

Really loud and nasty humming. It didn't matter how high or low the volume was. I also couldn't switch channels with the footswitch.
