there's someone who should have NOT been allowed to have kids.
what as asshole. obviously they didn't think for one second about how the kids was going to have to deal with that stupid fucking name for the rest of her life.

Kids already have enough to worry about getting picked on for add that to the list.

My kid has what many consider to be an unconventional name, but it's spelled like it sounds and which means it isn't anywhere near that stupid, IMO.

It's worked out well for her so far. There was concern that she would be picked on because of her name, but that has not been the case. At 10 the kids still don't get the reference and adults always think it's super cool. That could always change. I've let her know if she wants to go by her middle name she can. She just looked at me like I was stupid and said she likes her name.

For the non-nerds: SQL (structured query language is the standard "language" that is used to manipulate data in a database. Even though people have always knowns it was a bad thing to do, many early web developers simply took user input from a web form and built a SQL statement from it because it was easy, and they were in a hurry. By making a few scientific guesses (like that the table holding student information would be named "students"), and using SQL punctuation, one could construct input data on the form that would do things the developer never intended. For a long time, this was the source of probably 90% of the big data breaches you'd hear about. Sadly, this sort of code still exists.

I had a neighbor who named his kids Forest (boy) and Cloud (girl).

When their mother got custody, they became Steven and Susan.
