we have lots of vintage Pyrex - some of it reliced!

Just a couple weeks ago, on my local buy/sell/trade Facebook thing, someone was selling "antique Pyrex". Didn't argue if Pyrex can be antique, I just felt old.

Some years back Pyrex was acquired by people who decided that they could make more money by slapping the word “pryex” on plain glass and using “Pyrex” for a very limited selection of real Pyrex. Now people pay a premium for real Pyrex cookware that isn’t made anymore.

This got me thinking about once upon a time and the coffee mugs they had. Thought they had to be Pyrex, if they were Corning or, Corell, you wouldn't be able to see through them. Found them. Forgot about Anchor Hocking.
