Squirrel Story

decades ago we were at lunch at work sitting outside on a picnic table. Lots of squirrels. Along the fence, walking among the razor wire, comes a squirrel just as purple as purple can get. We just watched it as it meandered along.

We used a lot of carbon paper and shredded tons of documents. We guessed the squirrel used a bunch in making its nest.

well, even though red squirrels are more aggressive and territorial than grey squirrels, because they are more shy aroun humans than the invasive grey squirrel, they are disappearing in the UK because they are outcompeted for food, habitat and resources by grey squirrels, which also came over around the 1900s carrying squirrel pox, which kills red squirrels

That’s in exchange for the sparrows and starlings you so thoughtfully provided us. We threw in the Canada geese as a lovely parting gift.
