Impending Oasis reunion tour announcement

jbj

Poor old Geordie's array...
According to the British press it will be made this week. Friday is apparently 30 years since Definitely Maybe was released.:headbang:

You statesiders were too busy jiving and smoking the devils lettuce to Counting Crows and the Dave Mathews band when they first were around but this is huge in the UK.

If this is real I'll be surprised...if they make it past rehearsals I'll be shocked...if they make it through the first show Armageddon can't be far behind...

I predict this will go over about as well as a cannonball traveling down a hall.

Haha, yeah.
Bets on how long before the two twats try to kill each other?
I think the multiple divorced on both sides may have tempered their blood.

Tickets on sale Saturday am. Not rating my chances but I'll be up on multiple laptops

Seeing as they've hated each others guts for about 20 years or so, I really wouldn't be surprised if something happens during the tour. Neither of them are known for being particularly calm...

Fwiw I couldn't stand Oasis back then (and the whole BritPop thing) and that's still the case, but each to his own.
To this day I instantly turn off the radio whenever that fucking tune comes on (you know which one) but that's more down to Liam's constantly slightly off key singing more than anything else. And they're City supporters as well, which really doesn't help.

In their defence, they supported city when they were absolutely shite.

My sister who is a bit of a wet blanket has decided she and my 10 year old nephew are going if any of us can get tickets. I can see that ending well with my brother, I and 70,000 other maniacs on the lager bouncing about.

I saw Oasis live just once, in a tiny indoor Hall in Bielefeld Germany, Just after the release of Definitely Maybe and it was a really good, intimate concert.
However after that it all went downhill. They became these stupid shouty brothers with attitude and it all went a bit daft. I saw Noel Gallagher and his High Flying Birds about 5 years ago in Hamburg and on his own I think he's much better like that.
Liam reminds me of the kind of scumbag that hassles you for money when you're trying to withdraw money from an ATM and as such I feel the need to tell him to grow up and fuck off.
I never again want to hear fecking Wonderwall.

:annoyed:I "won" the special presale ballot!

So now I go into an actual ballot on Friday

Which if I win that one I get a code where I can join a queue to buy a ticket if there's any left .

Mrs jbj has the exact same thing for Taylor swift.

Sounds almost like a cynical marketing ploy to garner social media shares and drive panic for tickets.

I guess we'll find out what the demand for this is when you enter the queue and there's either <10 or >1000 folks in front of you.
