I ordered a big ol Weber 26er

Ive loved my 22" weber kettle grill for about 10 years now but it's time for her to go to the big scrapyard in the sky. I was gonna replace it with exactly the same thing, but opted for the big brother.

Between the cold and the pandemic, having a big BBQ sounds like a little slice of heaven right now.

You can order any part you need from Weber, I've revived my old 18 1/2" at least twice. Weber grills do indeed rock. Good bang for the buck. I do occasionally lust for a Big Green Egg at my local Ace Hardware, but remind myself that cost could fund guitars, amps or more fuzz pedals.

I've had 4 Webers stolen out of my backyard in 3 years. Including my WSM. I should be angry, but it gives me an excuse to buy new.

Weber makes a fine grill.

I have one of their gas models.

Likewise. I'm cooking sausages on it now. I have a little grill area dug out from under about a foot of snow. I use it at least once a week and it's been golden.

Picked up the queen of kettles today and put it together. Went together exxxxaaaaaaaaactly like the old 22" - just bigger. I guess when you have a great design you dont mess with it.
And it IS an incredibly great piece of industrial design. Every little detail is carefully considered to make it dead simple, robust and reliable. Cant wait to use it.

Nothing like grilling on a Weber with Mesquite Charcoal. I shall be firing mine up next weekend for a little surf 'n' turf.

Ha, just double the normal amount of coals and you should be good to go.

That is an idea. Unfortunately, I’m morally opposed to these weather conditions. We had enough stuff in the fridge/freezer to keep us going. I’ll make a gumbo this evening.
