I found the PRS I want.....

Actually.... you should wait for the NF to come out in a month or so... maple neck, frost blue metallic... then with the pickguard, I'd take the nearfields off your hands and make you a custom pickguard with two P90's.

I went to Elderly's today, and this one was great! I'm this close to pulling the trigger on it.

http://elderly.com/vintage/names/prs-sc-245-(2008)--30U-16185.htm

I didn't play it plugged in, but it had a very nice acoustic-ness to it, and had pretty darned good action, though not super-low shredder action. Low E-string sounded nice and clear, not muddy like some guitars low-E's.

Somebody should talk me out of buying it :embarrassed:

Great googly moogly... that one is sweeeeeet.

You can probably get $800 for your carvin on ebay. :helper:

I don't eBay (don't have a paypal acct, for one...) :( My Carvin is a very nice guitar, but like I've said before, the neck is just a tad too wide for my tastes. I'd be quite happy keeping it.

Anywho, that SC245 I poted above from Elderly's just spoke to me. You know when you pick up a guitar and everything about it just feels right? That one did that :embarrassed:

And I played every single one of their used PRS' and used Gibson Les Pauls, well, at least the LP's that didn't have the mini-buckers. They all played decently, but none of them spoke to me like that SC245, except maybe the used McCarty II they have, that one played really nicely as well.

You should see this PRS

in person! It looked stunning, but they have it hanging waaaay up high, didn't get to try it out.

Elderly is one of my favorite places on this earth.
