HNAD Bürtsday Edition

Knox in Box

Rustbelt refugee.
I was doing some scheming prior to my Birthday. I knew I wanted money to help buy an amp that sounded good at lower volumes. Preferably one made to do just that. I did some looking around and decided a Laney Super Cub Head would be a good idea, since I have a nice cabinet loaded with a Jensen. Went into eBay Classifieds and saw that they go for reasonable prices. I realized the kids (3) usually give 50 a piece and I had 200 on my gear sale account. I found one that is basically new (seriously, I think this guy just had it sitting around and unpacked it to make photos, all of the box candy and cards were in it like from the factory) for 320 bucks, sent the link to my kid along with the remaining balance, waited a while and this morning got "gifted" my "new" amp.

I can't state enough that this thing is what was missing in my life. Love the 1watt input. I can get a good high gain sound without disturbing too many folks and I can dial in all my types of sound. It probably doesn't nail everything , but it does all the sounds in my head. I'll probably keep my H&K in case anyone of mine ever needs a loud amp. Anyways, I'm back to jamming this thing.

HNAD! Sounds like a great bit of equipment :thu:
Yes, I'm loving it. I don't gig, so I love that it's single channel and I can just mode out on what I dial in with a few turns. No troubles with channels that have a bit different color than the others, which bothered me with the Hughes & Kettner I have, which is a damn good amp, just way too loud and untypical for a Solid State amp has Master volume that sounds bad on it's lowest settings.
